Job Brief:

  • The Education Center Office Assistant is the first point of contact for visitors and clients. This role requires a professional and friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. This person will manage the front desk, greet visitors and district employees, answer and direct phone calls, and provide general administrative support to the district office.

Location: Lincoln Education Center (LEC)

Salary:

  • \$14.50/hour

Hours Per Day:

  • 12:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Days Per Year:

  • Part-time, 12-month position.

Reports To: District Administration

Job Duties:

  • Greet visitors while maintaining building safety.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages as necessary.
  • Maintain office supply and break room inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Perform data entry and update records, databases, and spreadsheets.
  • Prepare requests for Purchase Orders and follow through with the order until received.
  • Update and maintain master calendar for conference rooms and common spaces at LEC.
  • Assist in navigation and guiding visitors to their destination within the LEC.
  • Possess a general knowledge of all district buildings, locations and contact information.
  • Receive delivery of packages and mail.
  • Familiarity with district website, district preferred technology and web-based systems.
  • Provide general administrative support to various departments as needed.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Assist families with identifying the assigned school according to residential address.
  • Any additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
