\ \ Clinical Assistant Professor\ \ Department: 3670055050 Applied Human Sciences\ Job no: 516912\ Employment type: Academic / Faculty - 12 month\ Location: Manhattan, Kansas\ Worksite: On-site requirement\ Categories: Education / Instructional, Applied Sciences\ Pay Grade: 001\ \ \ About This Role:\ The Department of Applied Human Sciences, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is currently seeking a 12-month Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor (non-tenure track) to join the Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) program. This position will teach professional coursework, provide clinical supervision, contribute to the coordination of the CSD program, and contribute to the broader missions of the department and college.\ \ Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain a teaching load of 0.95 FTE with an emphasis on didactic clinical coursework (undergraduate and/or graduate) and clinical supervision
• Actively contribute to the CSD program (i.e., graduate admissions, comprehensive examinations, curriculum review, academic advising, and other service areas)
• Teach summer courses
• Serve on committees related to program, department, and college issues
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with a diverse group of campus constituents

\ This 12-month position at the rank of clinical assistant/associate professor has a preferred starting date of August 2024, with a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.\ \ Why Join Us:\ Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) is the academic program for the profession of speech-language pathology. It is for students interested in human communication (speech and language, reading, writing, and hearing) and swallowing for individuals across the lifespan. The CSD program offers both undergraduate and graduate education for the profession of speech-language pathology. The master\'s program in speech-language pathology is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.\ \ The Department of Applied Human Sciences consists of seven primary academic programs (Communication Sciences and Disorders, Conflict Resolution, Couple and Family Therapy, Early Childhood Education, Family and Consumer Sciences Education, Human Development and Family Science, and Integrative Human Sciences), as well as Cooperative Extension.
