Job Brief:

• USD 383 is looking for people who enjoy being a part of a school community and can assist in providing safe transportation for our students to and from school/activities. Your responsibilities will include assisting in student loading and unloading, reinforcing positive behaviors during transport, and maintaining accurate documentation. Our district is looking for creative problem-solvers who are good teammates and enjoy working with students from diverse backgrounds. We strive to work as a team to help students meet their full potential through the implementation of dynamic educational programs. *Location: *USD 383 Transportation Department.

Job Duties:

• Assist young or special education students in getting on and off the bus.
• Assist the bus driver with maintaining discipline and monitoring students while the busis in operation.
• Assure responsible adult meets students leaving the bus as required.
• Communicate with drivers, teachers, aides and parents concerning student medicalneeds and behavior as appropriate.
• Consult with bus driver in the documentation of student information and possibleassigned seating.
• Understand and relate to students with special needs.
• Be able to teach students proper vehicle safety lessons.
• Utilize car seats and harness clasps, seat belts and wheelchair security as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the bus driver.
