About This Role:

The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for an Agricultural Technician II Research to coordinate field and greenhouse research activities related to weed management. This individual will help manage a research and Extension program to assess efficacy of integrated weed management practices in agronomic crops. Preference given to applicants with a degree in Agronomy or a related field and experience in agronomic production.

What You\'ll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One year of relevant experience in agronomic production

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduation from High School
  • Associates Degree in Agronomy or related field of study
  • Knowledge of agronomic production and research practices
  • Substantial experience with agronomic production
  • Ability to work effectively with students and stakeholders, ability to organize and prioritize work, ability to assess problems and develop creative solutions, and attention to detail.

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Certified pesticide applicator\'s license. Valid driver\'s license. Commercial driver\'s license.
