Description The Interpreter for Deaf/Hard of Hearing supports to the instructional program with specific
responsibilities for facilitating communication for hearing impaired students by converting voice
to sign and sign to voice; assisting in the instruction or supervision of hearing impaired students;
and serving as a resource to other school personnel requiring assistance with hearing impaired
persons.
Education, Certification
High school diploma or equivalent
Some college hours preferred
ESSE or equivalent-Level 4 Certification (Intervener only does not have to have ESSE
certification)
Must pass background check and TB test.
