Newly created position! As an experienced professional in strategic business analysis, you will shape technology solutions that drive strategic digital transformation initiatives across CommunityAmerica. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you'll interact with our multiple business partners to understand big picture business goals/objectives behind strategic roadmap initiatives, identify key functional capabilities needed to enable those goals, craft technology solutions working with the development team, have a “Product” mindset to develop road maps of evolution of existing system functionality, and take ownership to ensure they achieve identified business outcomes.
Collaborate with business partners and IT engineering leadership to detail high level initiative roadmaps and drive major application functional capabilities from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment.
Translate high level business needs into well-defined requirements including features, epics, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
Understand and analyze existing data in business applications to help make informed decisions on business needs and value of features.
Understand current system capabilities, perform gap analysis with future needs to create functional specifications for major projects working closely with the development team.
Work with development teams following Agile Scrum processes to clearly articulate project goals and needs, define/design solutions, estimate project and features, and plan work into sprints.
Create wireframes and mockups for user interfaces based on usability best practices.
Work in an Agile environment and continuously review the business needs, refines priorities, outlines milestones and deliverables, and identifies opportunities and risks.
Prioritize and maintain product backlogs working with business initiative owners.
Ensure initiatives achieve the intended business value through strong ownership of outcomes.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher required or equivalent experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated experience of creating business impact on large transformational IT initiatives.
8+ years of experience as a senior level strategic business analyst with life cycle experience on large projects in one or more areas of custom application development, CRM and application/data integration.
3+ years of business analysis experience with implementing CRM business functionality especially Salesforce is highly preferred.
Experience in the financial services industry and wealth management would be a big plus.
Must have 3+ years of experience working on projects based on Agile Scrum. Professional Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus.
Work experience in a technology environment with one of more of the following is preferred: Salesforce, Java, .Net, Cloud native applications, MuleSoft, Rest APIs, Data integration, Data Warehousing and SQL Server.
Experience with Scrum Master responsibilities is a plus.
Advanced knowledge of analyzing business functions and processes to identify solutions for improvement working with business and technology teams.
Strong skills and experience with adopting data analysis as a key component of business analysis on projects.
Must be motivated individual with strong analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills. Logical, process-oriented thinker with a natural curiosity about technology.
Must have ability to work on multiple, time-critical projects simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication required, including presentation of complex information in easily understood ways.
Ability to confidently interact at multiple levels in the organization and lead cross-departmental projects.
