Job Description
As a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for addressing emergency maintenance issues throughout all work stream operations with the goal of achieving scheduled daily production levels. This position will also be responsible for maintaining on time completion of assigned PM’s along with general WO requests including repairs, modifications, and fabrication projects.
A Day in the Life:
• Support daily manufacturing, filling and packaging operations thru online troubleshooting and repair to enhance operations OEE.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems as required.
• Complete preventative maintenance and general repair work orders as scheduled.
• Fabricate minor replacement/repair parts as needed within maintenance machining/welding shop.
• Assists in analyzing and correcting problems encountered during Maintenance work to ensure work is performed according to SOP’s.
• Daily communications with Maintenance Lead regarding shift-to-shift transfer information.
• Connect with supervisor/engineering regarding equipment condition and provide recommendations for improved reliability plan.
• Work with engineering department to develop capital equipment needs and support new equipment installations.
Keys to Success:
Education:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
• Vocational technical certification or 1-2 years job related experience preferred.
• Exposure working in manufacturing environment and maintaining equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Strong mechanical proficiency and technical skill.
• Knowledge of industrial control wiring systems.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to use input from equipment operators.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
• Process' automation control troubleshooting experience.
• Powered industrial equipment operation training.
• Welding/machining proficiency
• Training and experience with safety programs such as lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space, and elevated work
• Strong computer skills to use Microsoft Office, corporate applications and maintenance work order software system.
Other Job Requirements:
• Standing for extended periods of time, including bending, and twisting.
• Walk or standing up to 6 hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to maneuver up and down ladders.
• Clean room gowning will often be required.
• Ensure safety of employees and follow all health and safety policies/guidelines.
