Positions in our regionaloffices offer the opportunity to develop work for new clients in thoseregions, in addition to supporting the overall project needs of thestructural group as a whole.The ideal candidate will be interested and capable of leading structuraldesign and business development efforts in one of our offices and/ormarkets. They will have experience in a consulting environment with a provenability to mentor and train staff engineers, a strong interest and abilityto cultivate new business through client engagement, and superior projectmanagement skills. The position can be located in any one of our offices:Lenexa, KS (KC Metro area); Austin, TX (Round Rock or Leanderoffice); Seattle, WA or Broomfield, CO.Responsibilities:Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, and budgetsManage all aspects of structural design projects, delivering quality servicesAssist a multi-discipline team of architects and engineers with conceptualproject design, both verbally and graphicallyPrepare and/or direct others in preparing structural construction documentsand calculationsHandle all aspects of Construction AdministrationAssist in QA/QC reviews of work performed by other engineersParticipate in business development activities to grow our client network.Establish and maintain client relationships with new and existing clients.Work closely with Marketing department on proposal messaging, collateral andpromotional eventsRequirements:A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering isrequiredMust be a Licensed P.E.A P.E. or S.E. license in the state of California and/or Washington isdesired, but not required10+ years of experience in structural building design and/or industrialstructuresExperience with project management, including development/management ofscopes, schedules, and budgetsThe ability to manage several projects and responsibilities simultaneouslywhile maintaining awareness of scope, schedule, budget and status of allassigned projects (including projects assigned to staff engineers on yourprojects and any direct reports)Should be a self-starter and detail oriented with an ability to see theoverall scope of project while still maintaining a curiosity to learnA strong interest in developing work for new clients (an existing clientbase would be considered beneficial, but is not required)Good written and verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of Bluebeam, Revit and/or AutoCAD beneficialIt's More Than Just A JobAt GBA team of companies, we are innovative people who want to solveproblems.
