Hostess Brands, LLC, is a large packaged foods company focused on manufacturing, distributing, and selling iconic, sweet baked goods in the United States such as Twinkies®, Cupcakes, Ding Dongs®, Ho Hos®, Donettes® and Fruit Pies, in addition to Voortman’s Cookies and Wafers.
The Senior Manager, Project Management/Business Transformation role is responsible to direct and coordinate all project management activities related to the Hostess performance based, business transformation and other strategic corporate initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who understands project and program management and business transformation, is familiar with supply chain or distribution operations, is detail oriented and has strong written and oral communication skills. This position will report to the Director of Enterprise Activation and will be located at the corporate office in Lenexa, KS.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides day to day leadership for the management of all business transformation projects, including project status reporting vs. established targets.
Help to develop a best in class business transformation project management processes, objectives, strategies, standards, and policies.
Help to develop a PMO business transformation center of excellence.
Visually create process maps and run value stream mapping sessions.
Create proposals for optimization of various processes to eliminate waste, minimize costs and increase efficiency.
Educate and help champion a stage gate process for business transformation and strategic supply chain Initiatives.
Perform all project management activities, including the following functions:
Ensure all policies, standards, and processes are followed.
Ensure quality of materials to be presented to Senior Leadership.
Facilitate seamless communication to appropriate organizations to ensure their awareness of details that may affect their areas.
Ensure financial tracking is aligned with official financial forecasts.
Deliver accurate project health and status reporting.
Develop executive level dashboards.
Track status on a real-time basis and report to broader organization on a weekly basis.
Develop project timelines and drive cross functional teams to meet key dates and deliverables.
Ensure seamless project transition throughout the stage gate process to final execution.
The ideal candidate is someone who is detail oriented and able to quickly make correlations between activities and financial impact.
Propose detailed processes required to efficiently operate the business transformation center of excellence.
Directly communicate with Senior Leaders and team leaders as required to make the business transformation and strategic supply chain processes effective.
Develop deep partnership with VP of Operations Strategy to deploy and refine the business transformation program.
Lead activities related to the strategic supply chain and other transformation initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Sales, Finance, Project Management, Information systems or related field
Master’s degree preferred
Certified Project Manager Professional (PMP)
LEAN Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)-preferred
10+ years as a Project or Program Manager
At least five (5) years of Complex Project Management required
Project Management Office experience required
Business Transformation experience required
Consumer Packaged Goods supply chain operations experience preferred
Travel Requirements – up to 20%
Position requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and may require occasional weekends and/or evenings.
Must be willing to travel, domestically and internationally. Sometimes travel requirements will have very short notice.
