National Accounts Manage r - Payer Contracting (Western United States)

The National Accounts Manager - Focused on Regional MCO’s as well as evolving health care models/integrated payer provider models (IHNs, ACOs, PCMHs, Medical Groups, MC Payers, and Government). The goal main goal is to expand Philips ECG Solutions to Payers through contracts, partnerships and understanding of these models and their impact on access for the Philips ECG Solutions portfolio.

The National Accounts Manager role supports marketing, channel, and professional organizations to influence the utilization and/or policy decisions around cardiac monitoring patients with cryptogenic stroke and/or INR treatment. Average selling cycles of 6 months to 1 year, focused on the entire Philips ECG Solutions portfolio. Will also be called on as a technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and complex technical sales interactions with key customers. Having a wide range of experience this role can use professional concepts and objectives to resolve complex issues in innovative and effective ways.

Your role:

Primary goal Healthcare Payers

  • Ensure access for the Philips Ambulatory Monitoring and Diagnostics (AM&D) portfolio.

  • Build relationships with key C-suite individuals. Specifically, but not limited to: Chief Medical Officers, VP of Care Management, Contracting, Director of Provider Network, Sr. Medical Director, Head of Medical Policy, Quality Directors etc.

  • Understand and build relationships with key influencers with emerging healthcare models (ACO’s, IHN’s, PCMH’s) and/or large employer groups.

  • Drive communication at the field level as well as working with the field sales force to pull newly awarded contracts through successfully.

  • Travel is limited. Less than 10%.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 5-7 years of experience in Contracting with Healthcare Payers (MCO, IPA, ACO, IDN).

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, MBA, MHA or MPH – preferred

  • Your skills include:

  • CPT based contracting.

  • Experience managing contracts and negotiating with large integrated payer provider models.

  • Negotiation, contracting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in a regulated environment.

  • Strategic planning and organizational skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and utilize consultative and challenger model selling.

  • Ability to work independently, identify and build strong relationships at the C-Suite and D-Suite levels of a customer organization.

  • Experience working with large matrix teams both internal and externally.

  • Diagnostics equipment sales experience.

  • Knowledge of technical and market issues/factors.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including making impactful presentations.

  • Proven leadership abilities.

Philips Transparency Details

Total Target Earnings is composed of base salary + target incentive. At 85% to 120% performance achievement, the Target Earning potential is $191,250 to $250,000 annually. Total compensation may be higher or lower dependent upon individual performance.
