Jack Henry’s Ovation Services Team is seeking a Programmer Analyst III to join their team. This is a dedicated team of professionals that work on projects that are vital to the success of our organization. This position will serve as the primary programmer for our four Ovation environments and handle tasks such as daily processing and errors. This programmer will work with several groups across JH to assist with special requests. This team is an interactive team that is reliant on each other to complete their assigned tasks. This position allows you to expand your skills and learn new technologies. We do need this position to work in a Hybrid environment from Monett/ Springfield MO, Allen TX, or Lenexa KS.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Develops programming code for new and/or existing software enhancements.

  • Devises block diagrams, logic procedures and prepares flowcharting.

  • Troubleshoots and debugs existing code.

  • Tests code and fixes to ensure quality.

  • Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.

  • Provides programming support for various interfaces.

  • Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes; may assist the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.

  • Creates all programming documentation; may include defining the system and functional requirements of the product.

  • May complete project bids and/or work effort estimates. Interacts with customers to gather system requirements.

  • Mentors, trains, develops and provides support to less experienced co-workers

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience programming in RPG.

  • Must have the ability to work well with a team and a drive to complete tasks that have an aggressive deadline.

  • Must be willing to learn new technologies as they are implemented into our core systems.

  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Experience with SQL.

  • Banking or FinTech knowledge.

  • Experience with iAdapter.

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
