Your Role:

Perform Quality Control activities in support of finished products, which includes testing of raw materials and serum. Perform testing according to approved procedures or compendia (such as USP, EP, ACS) following site quality and safety standards. Evaluate results against approved specifications, perform peer review of analytical data, and release data from QC in a timely manner to meet scheduled release dates. Typically performs routine assignments autonomously and may perform non routine assignments with direction from senior roles using knowledge of concepts and specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process. Accountable for the quality of own work. Receives clear instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles or even solves problems of low to moderate complexity independently by selecting solutions based on fact-based information. Ability to work some weekends or holidays (as required by testing/business needs).

  • Accurately perform routine testing independently in accordance with test method in a timely manner
  • Identify and participate in process improvements under the guidance of Supervisor or senior personnel
  • Provide complete and accurate records consistent with quality guidelines and GDP requirements
  • Perform peer review of completed test data by other analysts
  • Communicate the status of operations and bring deviations to the attention of the supervisor and may supply information based on experience and knowledge
  • Train personnel and act as a technical consultant as needed
  • Perform and interpret analytical evaluations of products and intermediates
  • Contribute to support functions of the lab (e.g., maintain equipment, prepare reagents, restock lab supplies, waste disposal) and ensure equipment and work areas are maintained and clean
  • Take the necessary action to resolve any unsafe conditions.

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Chemistry, Biology or other Life Science discipline
  • 3+ years of laboratory experience in a quality control laboratory

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of standard compendial assays per USP, EP and JP
  • Strong attention to details, communication skills both oral and written
  • Works independently on routine tasks
  • Working knowledge of technical and quality standards
