Our Lenexa facility specializes in the production of Oxygen Life Support Systems and Galley Inserts Beverage Maker Products. Our Oxygen and Beverage Maker small parts assembly manufacturing focuses on safety and quality products production into the field for aircraft crew and passengers.
As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Project Engineer in our Beverage Maker Products business located in Lenexa, KS.
Manages all aspects of a project from start to finish according to specifications, on time and within budget. Serves as liaison between project management and other parties involved. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Requires an ability to perform and design engineer functions, manipulate models, interpret principles, theories, and concepts of an engineering specialty.
Works with the Engineering Manager to complete engineering tasks, and drive the planning and design efforts from inception through production both in new product design and in existing product redesign for the specified project.
Serves as the primary technical contact point, both internal and external, within a specified project for all aspects of design and implementation.
Recommends engineering techniques to solve problems, engineer a product and make design recommendations.
Performs standard assignments often requiring development of new or improved products/ processes/techniques.
Assesses applicability, feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests/products/equipment to assigned project.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient with Microsoft packages
Ability to develop, prepare and implement business plans and resources/revenue generating strategies.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to interpret technical data
Aerospace industry experience
Familiar with operating within and AS9100 Quality System
Familiarity with safety regulations
Export Compliance Knowledge
Experience of managing suppliers
