The Merchandising Artist Graphic Systems group supports the creation of product images and art files, and the corresponding data set-up required to successfully publish these items to the HanesInk, gfsionline, QuickGuide and other web sites. The artist will perform daily quality assurance and trouble-shooting tasks for product and art files used in these systems. The artist will support the web developers with log file analysis, data setup, and image and art template creation as needed. The artist will research and verify institutional data (high school and un-licensed college) verifying the accuracy of team colors, mascots, location, etc. The artist will communicate effectively with multiple departments here and at HBI corporate to ensure timely resolution to order and data setup questions.

Responsibilities

n

+ Responsible for setup of Illustrator documents containing placed images and vector elements.

n

+ Responsible for entry of image and art-related data into multiple web database systems.

n

+ Responsible for adjustment of product images using Photoshop, including levels/curves adjustments and the building of selections.

n

+ Responsible for reviewing daily order queue.

n

+ Continue to build our institutional database by researching and verifying the details of institutions, including the building of school mascots in Adobe Illustrator from limited reference images.

n

+ Work with Web Developers on a daily basis, developing an effective and cohesive relationship.

n

+ Troubleshoot and correct edits from the production floor as quickly as possible.

n

+ Interact with and support Graphic Design, developers and analysists, Customer Service, the production floor on a daily basis.

Qualifications

n

n

n

+ Associate's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience required, bachelors in Graphic Design preferred

n

+ 1-2 years of experience in Graphic Design field is preferred

n

+ Mastery of Macintosh computer and graphic design software (Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator)

n

+ Understanding of basic graphic art concepts such as composition, color relationships, and balance


n
