ManpowerGroup Mechanical Assembly in Lenexa, Kansas
Our client in the aerospace and defence industry is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join their team. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be part of the production team supporting the assembly of units. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have experience with electronic and mechanical assembly, and possess strong computer skills.
Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Location: Lenexa, KS
Pay Range: $19-$21/hour depending on shift
What's the Job?
Perform electronic, electromechanical or mechanical production sub-assembly and assembly operations to build up and assemble units of moderate complexity
Use a test stand to test product
Identify and select components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units
Utilize small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers
Stand for long periods of time, with at least 50% of the workday spent standing/walking
What's Needed?
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs
