Job Title: Manufacturing Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be involved in various stages of our manufacturing process, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role includes formulation, processing, packaging, and cleaning, as well as some basic computer use and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Weigh powders (chemicals) from original containers into small to large transfer containers, and monitor room temperature and humidity.

  • Load chemicals into large stainless-steel blenders, use equipment operation interfaces to preblend/mill/postblend, monitor automated processes, and troubleshoot as necessary.

  • Prepare materials, pack out powder into containers (barrels, buckets, bottles, etc.), and palletize filled containers.

  • Break down and set up equipment, hook up hoses/piping using gaskets/clamps, spray down rooms, load equipment into parts-wash, and operate and monitor automated cleaning.

  • Use basic computer skills as required.

  • Write legibly, clearly, and accurately in logbooks and company records.

  • Adapt to the unique requirements of each batch of powdered product, as the length of manufacturing time will vary.

Essential Skills

  • 6+ months of manufacturing experience.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Must be able to maneuver and position mechanical components up to 50 kg.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Manufacturing, warehouse, or quality experience preferred.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to complete paper-based documentation.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Willingness to learn.

  • Good attitude and attendance.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean room manufacturing environment where safety and cleanliness are paramount. You will wear a cleanroom suit and follow a 2 on 2 off, 3 on 2 off schedule. The day shift runs from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, and the night shift runs from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. Scrubs must be worn inside the manufacturing areas, safety shoes and glasses are required at all times, and N95 masks are required for certain tasks. Employees cannot have facial hair that interferes with the use of these masks, and a fit test is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.28 - $23.41/hr.
