The maintenance technician in Lenexa, Kansas is responsible for performing maintenance and repair for all facility equipment and buildings. The technician will take part in and contribute to a safe working environment. The technician will follow all corporate, departmental, and government safety regulations. Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, or instrumental problems, and makes necessary repairs. This can include adjustment, parts replacement, and lubrication, tear down, rebuilding, and other repairs. A sense of urgency in terms of maximizing production and minimizing downtime is necessary in this type of manufacturing environment. Performs preventive maintenance duties including equipment checking, parts replacement, lubrication, etc. Assists in the procurement of parts and supplies. Must have the ability to prioritize multiple work requests. Maintains required cGMP documentation and required to use SAP-PM. Coordinates outside contractors for maintenance projects. Assists in the design and construction of engineering projects within the site. Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Who You Are:
+ HS diploma or equivalent
+ 2+ years of Technical, Vocational training, or trade work experience, i.e., Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or Control System
+ 5+ years of experience as a mechanic in an industrial setting
+ Computer skills or aptitude including Lotus Notes, MS Office, and similar programs
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills
+ Good organization and communication skills
+ Experience in pharmaceutical or food processing industries
+ Experience with instrument maintenance and calibration
