Aerotek Laboratory Technician in Lenexa, Kansas


Responsible for performing routine and non-routine activities pertaining to laboratory testing for drugs of abuse and alcohol by GC, GC/MS, and LC/MS/MS. Performs moderately difficult to complex tasks. Performs assigned analytical testing procedures in an accurate, precise, and timely manner. BS/AA in Laboratory Science. National and State licensure as required.

For Compliance:

Typical Day: testing oral fluids, urine or hair to drug screening purposes at a high volume all day every day, ensuring the required machinery and work station stays up to par regarding cleanliness and working order.

Shift: (4)--all 4 are 8.5 hour standard shifts, and will require mandatory OT as/when needed

Wed-Sun 2am

Wed-Sun 3am

Wed-Sun 4am

This person will be responsible for handling all med tech duties including the following:

-Receiving samples and labeling them accordingly

-Testing samples using analyzers (Chemistry, Co-ag, A1-C, Hematology)

-Responsible for operating, troubleshooting, cleaning, and maintaining the analyzers.

-Entering results into computer system and sending results out to clinic and hospitals

-Scientific Experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

No certifications or licenses required but will require a B.S or B.A degree in Chemistry or Biology or a degree in any scientific field with a minimum of 16 credit hours in chemistry, 16 credit hours in biology, and at least 3 credits in math.
