We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Systems Engineer with the ability to work in a team environment and drive for results. This individual will have advanced Commvault knowledge with a strong VMware infrastructure skillset. This team is responsible for the underlying infrastructure at Jack Henry which is inclusive of hypervisor and data protection. We participate in driving projects to completion and also internal initiatives. The ideal candidate should enjoy working collaboratively while also being able to work independently. This environment is fast paced, challenging, and rewarding.

This position will be filled to work Remotely within the U.S.

The target salary range for this position is $82,300 – $118,500, based on location and experience.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Provide engineering support for enterprise applications in a high availability, 24x7x365 environment.

  • Provide daily support and drive continuous improvement for the Commvault data protection infrastructure.

  • Perform IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs in support of one or more functional areas.

  • Perform troubleshooting, resolution, and problem analysis.

  • Monitor alerting systems and servers.

  • Maintain in-depth documentation of activities and system configuration.

  • Develop custom reports to meet the business needs.

  • Prepare systems assessments or certifications.

  • Assist with network disaster recovery initiatives. Implement solutions to streamline disaster recovery.

  • Participate in an on-call rotation.

  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with Commvault.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with VMware.

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.

  • Experience as an individual contributor in projects.

  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% to attend JHA meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.

  • Experience with coding, RESTful API, Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

  • Experience implementing Ransomware protection strategies.

  • Experience with change management.
