Where You’ll Work
This position is based in our Lenexa, Kansas, office. We leverage a hybrid working model with three days per week in the office.
What You’ll Do
Install, configure, and maintain servers using Nutanix, VMWare, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) in both production and pre-production environments.
Utilizing Infrastructure as Code for the creation of standardized build templates using orchestrators such Terraform or ARM.
Support the creation and maintenance of critical Application Environments - On-prem & Azure platforms.
Support and administration of:
Network performance tuning
Cisco and other network security devices
Single Sign On solutions (Okta preferred, SAML/OIDC)
Voice over IP
Function as an escalation point for tier 2 and 3 incident infrastructure support with root cause and resolution in mind.
Research and recommend innovative solutions and automated approaches for system administration tasks.
Maintain and support Microsoft O365 tools, such as Intune, Defender, Teams, and VDI Windows 365.
Perform capacity planning through ongoing monitoring, alerting, and reporting of resource utilization levels and errors in the environment.
Ensure systems are backed up and restorable according to business recovery point and time objectives.
Develop, maintain, and audit detailed documentation as it relates to new and existing architecture, processes, and procedures.
Provide support across all teams with deployments and support infrastructure, security, and network systems, such as IDS/IPS, firewalls, switches, routers, and load balancers.
Assist in the evaluation of user needs and support vendor evaluation, recommendation, and negotiations.
Mentor and train team members existing and new technologies.
Consistently achieve goals and objectives, providing accurate and timely status reports to the Director of Infrastructure, leveraging past experience and sound judgement.
Provide efficient and swift performance resolution by utilizing vendor resources and diagnostic tools.
Upgrade and configure software that support server environments (after hours for critical production systems)
What You’ll Bring to CHA
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in technology preferred.
Minimum of two years’ IT experience in network, security and/or system administration.
ITIL Certification and/or experience.
Self-driven and detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven work experience with virtualization technology, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure (preferred) and O365 environments.
AWS and/or Azure certified or working towards a certificate.
Experience working on SOC2 & HIPAA Compliant applications.
Azure Services with specific strengths in App Services, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, Functions, Virtual Network, Application Gateway, App Insights.
Solid understanding of DNS.
Knowledge of Azure DevOps.
Solid fundamental network knowledge, TCP/IP, routing, subnetting, OSI model.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with programming and scripting languages, such as Powershell.
