Thermo Fisher Scientific Inside Sales Representative - Clinical in Lenexa, Kansas

The Microbiology Division ( MBD ) is a trusted supplier of a broad range of high-quality media and diagnostic products used in clinical, industrial, research, and academic laboratories, and backed by a team of service experts, we are dedicated to microbiology. The Inside Sales Representative position is responsible for the sale of clinical microbiology portfolio primarily by using the telephone; but also using email, Internet, and other technology within a defined territory. Inside Sales Representative maintains effective customer relationships, develops opportunities for growth within an existing and new customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. Inside Sales Representative will partner with Clinical Account Manager at local level to provide support and develop for key growth accounts.

What will you do?

  • Execute professional sales calls via telephone to increase profitable sales growth for the clinical Central Region.

  • Establish and develop customer relationships to cultivate customer loyalty and allegiance.

  • Develop a business plan to achieve sales goals and objectives; results oriented.

  • Effectively track activities, collecting customer information and developing opportunities in Salesforce.com

  • Maintain knowledge of products, services, competitive activity, and other general information of interest to customers. Participate in training and development programs as a means of continuous improvement. Collaborate with internal and external team members to develop account specific strategies.

  • Cover vacant field territories at manager's request.

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree; Science or Business preferred

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Proficient with MS Office - Excel skills a must

  • Exhibit clear verbal and written communication H

  • ighly motivated and competitive

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of successful sales experience

  • Must deliver excellent customer service

  • Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed

  • Must be willing to travel for training, sales meetings
