Hostess Brands, LLC, is a large packaged food company focused on developing, manufacturing, marketing, selling and distributing fresh baked sweet goods in the United States such as Ding Dongs®, Ho Hos®, Donettes® and Fruit Pies, in addition to Twinkies®, CupCakes, Voortman’s Cookies and Wafers.

This position will be the point of contact for our customers, Acosta and other internal stakeholders regarding: overages, shortages, damages, customer complaint root cause investigation, transportation claims management and other service/quality investigations and or continuous improvement efforts. Collaboration with logistics, Lean Logistics 3PL, account receivables, sales, manufacturing and quality will be critical.

  • Manage the overages, shortages and damages process for Hostess

  • Manage the carrier claims process for Hostess

  • Manage complaint/quality root cause anaylsis for customer service including the develpoment of corrective action implementation

  • Creation and routine generation of service quality reports for management

  • Interact daily with carriers and Lean Logistics (third-party transportation provider) to address/solve daily transportation opportunities for our customers

  • Interact daily with logistics warehouse personnel to help drive solutions and contiunous improvement solutions

  • Serve as trained "back up" for other Customer Service Specialists related to customer order management

  • Additional duties as assigned

Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience working with a "Lean" business philosophy that constantly focuses on removing waste and continuous improvement

  • Servant-leadership mind-set and apporach with a focus on creating "win-win" solutions

  • Extreme focus on delighting the customer

  • Superior written and oral communication skills

  • SAP experience is preferred. Experience using other ERP and or CRM tools required

  • Collaborative and solutions-oriented

  • Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities-ability to turn data into information

  • Strong computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook

  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task in a fast paced CPG environment

  • Ability to perform/lead root cause analysis-including creation and implementation of sustainable solutions

  • Work schedule flexibility to meet the needs of customers

High School or Equivalent

Bachelor Degree preferred

Minimum of 2-3 yers customer service and or logistics experience

Experience with transportation carrier claims and service metric management a plus

B2B and/or CPG experience preferred

Formal "root cause" and/or "continuous improvement" experience in a "Lean" environment is desirable
