Includes managing incoming calls, managing requests for services from providers / members, providing information on available network services and transferring members as appropriate to clinical staff.
Manages the referrals process, processes incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations.
This function includes intake, notification and census roles.Employees in jobs labeled with SCA must support a government Service Contract Act (SCA) agreement.Primary Responsibilities:Draft letters for government and commercial specific clientsGain knowledge of the State and Federal regulations concerning the services and benefitsModerate work experience within own functionSome work is completed without established proceduresBasic tasks are completed without review by othersSupervision / guidance is required for higher level tasks Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED (or higher) 1+ years of experience working in an office setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties Experience using a computer and Microsoft Office including Word (create, edit, save), Excel (create, edit, save), and Outlook (send, receive, set appointments) Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements Comfortable working an 8-hour shift between 7:00 am - 9:00 pm Monday through Friday with possible weekendsPreferred Qualifications: Prior authorization knowledge / experience Home infusion, DME, or Pharmacy experience Intake / Insurance experience Medical billing or coding experience Experience with Medicaid and / or MedicareCareers with AxelaCare.
