Conduent Senior IT Operations Analyst in Lebanon, Kansas

Responsibilities:

  • Plan the release of project deliverables and release life cycle.

  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time.

  • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes.

  • Manage relationships (internal and external) and coordinate work between different teams at different locations.

  • Manage customer relationship when it comes to release timing and expectations

  • Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business Go/No-Go reviews.

  • Regular release reporting.

  • Communicate release details and schedules to the Business as required.

  • Work with DevOps engineers to assist with code packaging.

  • Work with DevOps engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges.

  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process.

  • Maintains a release repository and manages key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.

  • Research new software development and configuration management methodologies and technologies and analyzes their application to current configuration management needs

  • Make improvements in the methodologies used for configuration management and development of software that helps to find ways to use in configuration management.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • Experience in release management in multi-tenant cloud environments.

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle.

  • Previous hands-on release management experience.

  • Solid understanding of project management principles.

  • Working knowledge of AWS, Git, Jenkins, Jira, and Excel

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.

  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of Cache

Qualifications/Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; plus, at least 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Variable work hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required due to the nature of installed technologies and utilization requirements.

  • Must be comfortable with change, close collaboration, and possess strong conflict resolution skills.

  • Effective verbal and written communications. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences (technical and non-technical).

  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle and quality control practices. Ability to recognize and recommend needed changes to software development practices and procedures.

  • Experience building and implementing release management practice including processes, procedures, and documentation.

  • Understanding of project management practices, frameworks, and methodologies including ITIL, Agile, and Waterfall.

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).

  • Experience with team-oriented software development tools, including version control (e.g., Git, SVN, etc.) and software lifecycle (e.g. Jira, Confluence, etc.).

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
