QPS Employment Group Electrical Assembler in Leawood, Kansas

Hours: 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday

Electrical Assembler Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Drill, ream, rivet, fit, countersink, adjust, finish, and inspect sheet metal parts to ensure specifications are met - Assemble components by installing ground studs, attaching nutplates, or bonding - Work from and follow process specifications, work orders, blueprints, rework/rejection tags, schedules, schematics, layout and modification sheets, and engineering orders - Pull parts from bins and report any shortages to the Supervisor - Work with different gauges and types of sheet metal aluminum according to product specifications - Clean components, load parts onto jigs/fixtures, and prepare them for assembly - Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces as required - Perform quality checks, call for inspection, and work on rework tasks as needed to eliminate non-conformance - Adhere to all safety guidelines and ensure that all actions align with our commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement - Scrutinize every aspect of the job and report any improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials, or unusual conditions to the Supervisor

Electrical Assembler Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred, will be required to take a pre-employment assessment - Prior experience with blueprints and precision measuring devices is a plus - Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time - Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10-50lbs occasionally - Ability to work in an environment with varying noise levels, ranging from quiet to extremely loud - Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the manufacturing floor, including but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection - Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to follow work instructions and assemble parts - Skilled in using a variety of small hand tools - Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members regularly
