American Academy of Family PhysiciansEditorial Assistant19-18 This position is responsible for providing support to CME editorial staff, including, but not limited to managing correspondence; maintaining Conflict of Interest, CME Compliance, and other files; formatting and light editing; and completing month end processes. The person in this position will work closely with staff across the department to achieve departmental goals. Possible 5 days travel annually.Other duties as assigned. This position requires a bachelor degree or equivalent in journalism, English, or related area plus moderate work experience of one year. Requirements of this position include proofreading and editing skills, strong computer skills, general clerical skills, and good communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates need to possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet rigid deadlines. Familiarity with interactive media, web content management, and medical terminology is a plus.
