National Dentex Distribution Specialist I in Leawood, Kansas

Description

Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Heumann in Leawood, KS for a Part-Time Distribution Specialist.

We provide our delivery staff with company leased vehicles, gas-cards, and communication devices! If you have a sincere appreciation for providing outstanding customer service and work well independently, then we encourage you to apply!

This position will average 16-24 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Drive delivery vehicle to customer locations to pick up case materials and deliver finished products2. Communicate with personnel at customer locations in a courteous manner3. Load delivery vehicle with finished products scheduled for the day's deliveries4. Receive pick-up and delivery assignments from supervisor and plan most efficient route considering customer service priorities5. Use communication device to report progress on deliveries to supervisor6. Consult with supervisor about any unusual delivery problems7. Maintain records of deliveries and delivery vehicle mileage8. Fill delivery vehicle with gas when low on fuel9. Follow maintenance schedule to have delivery vehicle serviced10. Report any mechanical problems to supervisor11. May assist with packaging finished product for its delivery to customers

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS/EQUIPMENT USED:1. Drives in a variety of traffic and weather conditions, subject to inclement weather2. Requires sitting for long periods of time3. General office conditions with limited exposure to dental laboratory operations4. Uses a company-provided delivery vehicle

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:1. Valid and current driver's license and a driving record (MVR) that complies with Company policies 2. Excellent driving skills3. Ability to use a street map or directional device and plot delivery route4. Ability to maintain simple logs and records5. Ability to lift up to ten pounds, and occasionally heavier, and climb up and down stairways6. Basic knowledge of auto care7. Dependability to carry out a series of work instructions with limited supervision8. Requires adequate social skills, good grooming and a neat and clean attire
