Position Objective: To assist customers in their shopping experience by ensuring all store products are clearly marked with accurate prices and all price changes are made in a smooth, timely manner.
Reporting Structure: This position formally reports to the Pricing Manager.
Status: This is a non-exempt position.
The following is a list of any certifications, formal education, or training requirements for this position.
§ Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite and 10-key is required.
§ Completion of ongoing training and development as listed on the Cosentino Learning Plan.
§ A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Essential Job Functions
§ In absence of Pricing Manager, may be asked to provide direct supervision of the activities of all other members of the pricing team in a manner that is operationally effective, but is also motivating and respectful.
§ Promote a positive overall team atmosphere that includes cooperation and teamwork, high morale, positive interpersonal interactions and communications, and recognition for a job well done.
§ Pass store audits and achieving minimum scores set by corporate directors.
§ Meet or exceed productivity standards to produce desired team and individual results.
§ Knows the store’s products, procedures and policies and can accurately and courteously answer vendor and customer questions.
§ Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner and recognize when it is appropriate to involve a member of the store management team.
§ Knows and implements theCosentino Customer Service Standards.
§ Verify merchandise price file against shelf price tags to ensure accuracy.
§ Know how to operate all pricing and scanning equipment properly.
§ Ensure all signs are clear and placed properly according to sign standards to avoid confusion with our customers.
§ Proofread all store ads and signage for accuracy.
· Comply with government rules regarding food stamp & WIC purchases.
· Comply with weights & measure regulations.
§ Know, comply with, and ensure the team complies with all health regulations, sanitation guidelines and safety procedures for your department and your store.
§ Able to operate, clean and maintain all equipment safely and competently.
§ Demonstrates the strong verbal and interpersonal skills necessary for positive customer and peer interactions.
§ Demonstrates the basic math and reading skills required for the position.
Non-Essential Job Functions
§ Ensure the pricing system is accurately updated with new items.
§ Communicate any problems with pricing, pricing changes, or signage issues to the store management team and corporate office in a timely, professional manner.
§ Support your company by completing additional tasks identified by management, assisting other stores or departments as needed and gaining new skills when necessary.
The following physical movements could potentially be part of any scheduled shift and employees will be expected to perform these actions while on duty.
§ Reaching overhead with both arms, twisting at the waist and lifting objects with both hands weighing up to 15 lbs.
§ Pushing and pulling grocery items & carts to the proper locations as needed, up to a peak force of 75 lbs.
§ Standing and walking for long periods of time on tile, asphalt, concrete or other hard surfaces.
§ Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 36 lbs., to a height of 34 inches.
§ Bending and squatting, at times all the way to floor level.
§ Climbing a ladder, possibly up to 15ft.
