- - Prepares fully documented submissions of rate, form, and rule filings to regulatory agencies and bureaus

Whats a typical day look like

- - Compiles all information required to develop fully documented rule and form filing recommendations for review by AFI management and state regulatory authorities;

{=html} <!-- --> - - Analyzes regulatory bulletins and circulars to determine potential impact of pending changes on AFI operations and automated systems;

{=html} <!-- --> - - Communicates directly with state insurance departments as necessary to request additional information, provide clarification or justification for requested action, and to facilitate implementation of requested actions;

{=html} <!-- --> - - Maintains current knowledge of appropriate state filing documentation and formatting requirements so as to expedite processing of requested actions;

{=html} <!-- --> - - Creates, distributes, and maintains required documentation (both system and hard-copy) relating to completed actions. Ensures AFIs continuing regulatory compliance by coordinating with department processors to implement changes that impact AFI operating units;

{=html} <!-- --> - Performs other duties as assigned in support of the unit and company objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS\ \ Whats required to be considered

- - High school diploma or GED, with at least 16 college credit hours including composition and/or business communications.

{=html} <!-- --> - - One year of satisfactory job performance in a processing or customer service position with AFI or two years commensurate experience in a regulatory compliance environment (Associates Degree may be substituted for this requirement).

{=html} <!-- --> - - Excellent verbal communications skills

{=html} <!-- --> - - Excellent written communications skills, to include the ability to produce well-documented recommendations for approval by AFI management and consideration by insurance regulators

{=html} <!-- --> - - Working knowledge of MS Outlook

{=html} <!-- --> - - Detailed knowledge of MS Word and Excel

{=html} <!-- --> - - Keyboard skills of at least 40wpm

{=html} <!-- --> - - Ability to learn to utilize AFIs computer systems and complex query tools for data access and entry

{=html} <!-- --> - - Ability to perform basic math functions to include calculation of percentages and ratios

{=html} <!-- --> - - Ability to quickly gather and analyze information needed to determine appropriate action on compliance issues

{=html} <!-- --> - - Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills

{=html} <!-- --> - - Ability to accomplish work according to established priorities and procedures

What professional education requirements do I need to obtain\ Successful completion within 90 days of standardized training in Principals of Insurance, Dwelling Coverages, and Homeowner Coverages Completion of INS 21 or IR201 or CPCU 520 within 33 months in the position.\ \ *if incumbent did not have prior experience in a position with this requirement\ \ The physical requirements and working environment stuff\ The work is primarily sedentary.
