The role of the Chemical Process/Manufacturing Engineer at the ICL-Lawrence plant is all about using your talents to help make us better each and every day. I’m interested! What will I get to do in this position?

• Interact daily with operators and maintenance technicians to support their needs.

• Product/process owner for designated areas from raw material to customer.

• Lead reliability and improvement efforts and report progress against OEE targets and activities.

• Demonstrate applied knowledge of unit operations development as subject matter expert.

• Identify and promote new and innovative technologies.

• Identify and drive efficiency and design/redesign improvements.

• Serve as process engineering representative on capital projects.

• Participate in customer/supplier visits/audits and understand markets and strategic direction.

• Provide off-shift assistance/support, when needed, for product support and product testing.

• Support month-end financial close of raw materials and finished products.

• Provide input on product bill of materials (BOMs), usage factors, and efficiencies.

• Continually develop technical knowledge and expertise.

• Communicate/interact with all levels of the organization.

• Share learnings and expertise across other global sites in ICL.

What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?

• B.S. degree Chemical Engineering required

• 2 years chemical manufacturing experience required; additional years preferred.

• Demonstrated analytical and independent decision-making skills.

• Ability to develop and work independently and in a team/leader capacity.

• Excellent technical skills.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing techniques and improvement methodologies.

• Process Improvement, creativity, and innovation mindset.

• Strong interpersonal and organization skills.

What will set you apart?

• Demonstrated process improvement and technical engineering experience in manufacturing/chemical plant setting.

• Demonstrated leadership ability to function as a lead process engineer.

• Experience with diverse set of computer hardware and software applications.

• Knowledge and experience in more than one engineering discipline a plus.

• 2D/3D AutoCAD/SolidWorks proficiency a plus.

• Understanding of basic electrical and control systems a plus.

• Chemical/food plant experience highly desirable.

Salary Range: $59,150 - $138,200

Annual Bonus Target: 5-7%, subject to plan provisions.
