We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to play a key role in furthering our mission in our company.

Summary/Objective:

Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Maintenance Technician will provide overall maintenance services for Transportation, Plant, Administrative offices, Stores and all other Agency facilities and equipment. To fulfill mission statement.

Skills and Knowledge:

Must have knowledge and demonstrated skill in use of repair and construction methods. Must have skill in use of tools and repair and maintenance of facilities. Must have knowledge and skill in following plans, blueprints, and schematic representations. Must have skill in repair of small apparatus, minor repair and maintenance of machinery used at Goodwill locations. Must have knowledge of safety rules and regulations as required by Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Must have valid Kansas driver’s license.

Education/Experience:

GED or High School Diploma.

Essential Functions:

  • Do regular checks on all vehicles, i.e.; check oil, lights, etc., maintain as needed (add oil, replace bulbs, etc.)

  • Clean and maintain equipment and fixtures within the plant (baler, minor plumbing, change light bulbs, A/C filters, etc.)

  • Repair minor plumbing problems, lighting, etc., at stores.

  • Miscellaneous painting of shelves, shipping area, etc.

  • Maintain lawn care and snow removal and assist in plant when called upon to drive forklift.

  • Maintain logs on vehicles and report when preventative maintenance is due.

  • Responsible for regular inspection of fire extinguishers.
