Job Description:

Cerner Corporation is currently seeking a Health Center Manager Registered Nurse for our on-site health center for a large, local employer in Overland Park, KS. This health center has a proactive, educative approach where associates are motivated to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices.

As a Health Center Manager Registered Nurse you will have both clinical and staff management responsibilities. You will treat acute, chronic, and complex disease management and promote wellness and illness prevention through direct member care. This includes taking vitals, documenting symptoms in the electronic medical records, collecting lab specimens and administering immunizations and shots. Patient education is a big focus and you will work to ensure an understanding of acute, chronic, and progressive disease processes. Your staff management activities include proactively addressing issues, determining schedules and allocating resources appropriately, and assessing performance to ensure effective patient care. You will also provide coaching around performance, complete performance reviews, and provide development planning, while creating a respectful work environment.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Licensed (unrestricted) as a Registered Nurse

  • Associates Degree in Nursing

  • At least 2 years of work experience in a Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Primary Care or Urgent Care health center setting

  • At least 3 years of Health Care operations management work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Health Care, or Business Administration

  • Current Basic and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification

Expectations:

  • Must be willing to work on a flexible schedule, overtime or irregular hours when needed

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
