Practice Overview:

The Advanced Analytics and AI practice within Ankura develops and maintains a portfolio of analytics products, centered largely around high-volume unstructured text. Rather than a pure machine-learning plus dashboards approach, we focus on opportunities to interactively support human analysts as they organize, explore, and exploit data with the assistance of machine learning, generative AI, and an intuitive user experience. Our products include platforms that can be configured for specific re-sellable applications or delivered “raw” for unique needs, as well as custom development when required. We strive to build upon and maintain a culture that is inclusive, collaborative, rewarding, and in keeping with our organizational core values.

The Role:We are seeking a dynamic AI Developer and Researcher who loves to innovate and create cutting-edge solutions in the field of Large Language Models (LLMs). In this role you are someone who wakes up with the drive to turn research into reality, someone who sees code as your canvas for innovation. You will be instrumental in developing and deploying AI solutions that are not only effective but also transformative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in hands-on development and deployment of Large Language Model (LLM) based solutions to address complex business problems, ensuring alignment with Ankura's strategic goals.

  • Develop robust agent and multi-agent systems leveraging threaded and asynchronous messaging through Python, ensuring these systems optimize problem-solving and decision-making processes within the organization.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced research and development environment, rapidly transitioning from conceptualization to development and deployment of machine learning and agent-based solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with the enterprise team to ensure smooth migration of developed solutions into enterprise operations, ensuring machine learning models and agent systems are scalable, reliable, and manageable.

  • Utilize the Microsoft Azure ecosystem and ElasticSearch for developing, deploying, and optimizing LLM-based solutions and agent systems, ensuring efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval.

  • Establish and maintain robust machine learning pipelines and agent system frameworks, ensuring seamless transition from development to deployment and operations.

  • Engage in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to ensure the highest quality of code and adherence to best practices in machine learning, agent system development, and software engineering.

  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, LLMs, agent and multi-agent systems, and incorporate innovative methodologies and technologies to enhance Ankura’s projects.

  • Represent Ankura in external technical forums, communities, and conferences, showcasing the company’s expertise in LLMs and agent system development, and contributing to the broader AI and ML community.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineering, data engineering, and product management to ensure successful project delivery, implementation, and integration of LLM and agent system solutions.

  • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of technical presentations, white papers, and case studies to internal and external stakeholders, showcasing Ankura’s capabilities in LLM and agent system development.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or Software Engineering is required.

  • Certifications in machine learning, artificial intelligence, or relevant technologies are a plus.

  • Computer Science:

  • Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems principles, Computer Networks and Protocols, and Database Management (SQL & NoSQL).
