Role Summary/Purpose

As a critical member of the Product organization, the VP, Multi-Product Capabilities Leader, is responsible for facilitating growth of Synchrony's acquisition channels through innovation, enhancement and leading development of a Synchrony strategic imperative, coordinating across all of Synchrony's platforms in partnership with leaders from each area. This individual will continue innovation within our Prequalified space while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver industry leading prequalification capabilities. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity, be able to operate in a fast-moving, agile environment, be willing to serve as a team player with strong collaborative skills, and act as an owner, proactively taking initiative.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and drive delivery of enhancements within Synchrony's Prequalification channel

  • Innovate through collaboration with other Product leaders to align on enhancement opportunities, requests, and priorities

  • Lead development of goals and socialize enterprise-level vision for Synchrony's Prequalification product and capabilities

  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to understand next generation requirements in support of Synchrony's clients and partners

  • Drive enhancements that establish and continue to deliver a best-in-class product solution

  • Understand and apply industry insights, consumer intelligence and market analysis to benchmark Synchrony's Prequalification product against market in collaboration with customers, UX team, research team, and others as required.

  • Partner with Digital Analytics to build upon and enhance existing reporting and KPIs; drive related communication to stakeholders around growth and to identify data-driven opportunities

  • Lead product communications to stakeholders regarding product vision, goals, enhancement roadmap, KPIs, and other relevant items as required

  • Lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 10 years of product development and technology integration experience in the credit card, financial services or technology industries

  • Demonstrated experience within prequalification and/or personal installment loan space

  • Minimum of 7 years Product Management experience that includes:

  • Leading large complex programs over multiple releases

  • A proven track record of launching new products or applications with demonstrated business impact

  • Ability to influence and coordinate multi-functional teams

  • Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience of effective verbal and written communication skills across functions and multiple levels of leadership

Desired Qualifications:

  • Credit card, consumer finance, payments, financial services or retail services industry experience.

  • 3-5+ years experience in Prequalification and/or personal installment loan space

  • Strong agile experience preferably in product management

  • Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.

  • Demonstrated strong quality/process improvement experience, with relevant examples that improved business performance and customer experience

  • Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions in a fast-changing environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives and projects in a matrixed, high speed, and quickly changing business environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge (financial services)

  • Strong UX / customer experience focus

  • Understanding of regulatory environment governing financial services and Preapproved capabilities

  • Current on financial services, payments industry trends, competitors, emerging technologies and companies

  • Proactive, self-starter with a high degree of self-initiation

Grade/Level: 13

The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
