Aerotek Sterile Processing Technician in Kansas City, Kansas
Receiving surgical instruments from the Operating Room (OR)
Decontaminate the surgical instruments through and enzymatic system and rinse
Clean the surgical instruments per manufacturing guidelines with proper water temperatures, water levels, and pH levels
Run the surgical instruments through an ultrasonic machine to break down any remaining organisms
Final wash of surgical instruments
Ensure the proper soaps are in the wash including checking the labels and dates of the soaps
Utilize MediTech system to pull up surgeries being performed the following day
Print case cards for those surgeries which include surgical instruments needed
Go through the clean surgical instrument supplies and pull the items needed to add to the surgical tray
Create the surgical tray and attach the case card to the tray
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
At least 6 month experience as a sterile processing technician or cleaning instruments.
Likes hospital setting, Doctors office, & dental office
Certified is a bonus but not a must
Interviews Wednesday May 5th and Thursday May 6th
