    Savage is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to assist its Financial Accounting team with reviewing and analyzing customer contracts to identify proper accounting treatment. The Senior Accountant work with a team to manage the process of identifying and reviewing customer contracts, managing billing rates and determine proper recognition of revenue in the Company’s financial statements. The role reports to the Manager of General Ledger and Consolidation.What you will be doing:

  • Apply Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 606 and maintain company revenue recognition policies

  • Takes lead role in review of customer contracts for proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition standards

  • Works closely and help manage complex transactions with the billing team and other stakeholders

  • Assist in year-end financial audit by preparing and reviewing audit schedules and interacting with auditors

  • Contribute in monthly financial close, ensuring accurate and timely recoding of transactions and completeness of financial statements related to revenue and accounts receivable

  • Takes lead role in the preparation and review of monthly account reconciliations and journal entries and financial reporting process

  • Work on revenue team projects and process improvements

  • Subject matter expert on revenue and ASC 606

    What You will Need To Be Successful:

  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP principles and financial statements, including ASC 606 and multi-element experience

  • 5-7 years of related accounting experience

  • Ability to step away from the details and see the big picture

  • Able to complete assigned tasks with minimal direction

  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Possess strong planning skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point)

  • Oracle knowledge a plus

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead team members

  • Provides leadership, coaching and mentoring to peers, Staff Accountants and Accountants

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting (MAcc or MBA a plus)

  • CPA or CPA candidate a plus
