Level II Field /Shop Mechanic
Pay - \$25-\$30 hourly depending on experience/ Paid Weekly on Fridays.
Shift/Hour Monday Friday 8am-5pm / Occasional Weekends when needed.
Responsibilities:
Performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on heavy and light equipment and vehicles.
Conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts
Engine diagnostics, Hydraulic & electrical diagnoses.
Operate Excavator, Skid Loaders & other heavy equipment.
Clearance to Travel to Railroads to maintenance vehicles.
AC skills are a must.
Tags out of service issues and informs the Fleet Supervisor.
Performs Department of Transportation inspections & Crane Inspections.
Completes steel welding and fabrication and aluminum welding.
Maintains repair notes, and data entry into Fleet Management system.
Hands-on experience on pneumatic and digital control systems
Required:
3 plus years experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and vehicles.
Mastered Level 1 PM Technician skills.
Valid Drivers License.
Erail Safe Verified for Railroad
AC knowledge / EPA 609 A/C Certification preferred.
Must have own tools and toolbox.
Drug and Alcohol Testing.
Lift Test- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
