Job Description:

Shift: 3:30pm – 12:00am


  • $24.46/hr. first six months

  • $25.46/hr. after six months

  • $26.46/hr. final rate (after 1 year)

You will:

  • Receives work assignments, verbal and/or written instructions from supervision.

  • Receives material to be painted and prepared for shipment. Ensures pumps and accessories are blasted properly and the paint application is according to sales order and paint sheet including but not limited to number of paint coats and required mil thickness.

  • Works from BOMs, blueprints, RF technology, SAP process and shipping documents, written procedure or verbal instructions.

  • Checks machines and equipment to load, unload or transport and equipment throughout the plant and deliver or pick up purchased goods, etc. outside of plant premises as instructed. Operates coating equipment as directed. Fills in for missing team members.

  • Performs operations such as label, stencil or tag domestic and export shipments, figures cubic feet and kilos on export orders, weighs parcel post orders, and creates crating boxes for pumps and pump accessories.

  • Assist in routing shipments, prepares Bill of Lading, packing lists, and other shipping documents as directed.

  • Applies paint to pumps, component parts, equipment structures and machinery with spray gun, paint brush, and rollers as directed.

  • Prepares pumps, picks service parts, castings, patterns, etc. for domestic or export shipments and labels, weighs, loads, blocks freight, as instructed.

  • Checks and adds fuel, oil, or water to mobile equipment as necessary and performs minor servicing to vehicles, such as change tires, check battery, etc. as required.

  • Completes personal Hour By Hour sheet and turns into supervision daily.

  • Inspects pump and pump components (Castings, Weldments, and Finished Goods) for surface defects prior to painting and reports defective material and equipment to supervision.

  • Inspects and photographs outgoing loads to ensure proper straps and supports are in place for safe arrival to destination.

  • Maintains good housekeeping by keeping tools, material, and equipment in proper places.

  • Observes all safety rules and watches for safety of others.

  • Does certain minor assembly functions such as cut, weld, and install coupling guards and nameplates after coating.

  • Assembles barrel adaptors, high ring bases, and pump bases per setting plan or blueprint as necessary to achieve proper paint coating.

  • Installs wear rings on pumps and impellers and assembles shaft sleeves, couplings (shaft and pipe), and wire rope assemblies for submersible pumps, etc. for service and loose and spare work orders as necessary to achieve the proper paint coating.

    You should:

  • Must be able to wear full body PPE and respirator.

  • Must be able to operate mobile equipment as directed.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist.
