Aerotek Pipefitter in Kansas City, Kansas
Description
Install, maintain, and repair piping systems for industrial and commercial applications. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine pipe layouts. Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes using various tools and equipment Install valves, fittings, and other pipe system components. Perform pressure tests to ensure system integrity and safety. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex piping system issues Collaborate with other trades to coordinate piping installations. Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean work area. Document work performed and maintain accurate records. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry standards and technologies
Fast-paced industrial or commercial settings
May involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or in challenging weather conditions
Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and respond to emergency calls as needed
5+ years of experience in industrial and commercial piping/plumbing
Willingness to work overtime, respond to call-ins, and handle outages as needed
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
Strong troubleshooting skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a pipefitter apprenticeship program or equivalent training
Valid driver's license
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Advanced troubleshooting abilities for complex piping systems
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions
Proficiency with hand and power tools specific to pipefitting
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must be a Journeyman Pipefitter
Experience with Industrial Steam Boilers, Chillers, and Process Equipment, Welding
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.29 - $36.29/hr.
