Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Design and develop material handling and conveying systems using Autodesk Inventor.
Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project requirements and specifications.
Perform calculations and simulations to validate design integrity and performance.
Prepare and maintain design documentation, including BOMs (Bill of Materials), technical specifications, and user manuals.
Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during the manufacturing and installation phases.
Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and best practices to continuously improve design processes and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in designing material handling and conveying systems.
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and other relevant CAD software.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other simulation tools.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to material handling systems.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

This is a fully on-site position in Kansas City, KS.
