This position is involved in developing and executing market strategies to support products and drive member/patient growth within Optum Kansas City's Medicare Advantage patient population. Position develops strategies and tactical plans to identify patients for selection/conversion and then lead the execution of those plans. The position will develop meaningful relationships with broker and insurance partners to grow outreach. May analyze economic and market considerations, develop and present budgets for materials, events, and staffing needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates, supervises and is accountable for the daily activities of business support, technical or production team or unit

  • Impact of work is most often at the team level

  • Owns output at task level

  • Work is generally limited to own function

  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion

  • Coordinates work activities with other supervisors

  • Develops plans to meet short-term objectives

  • Identifies and resolves operational problems using defined processes, expertise, and judgment

  • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan

  • Product, service, or process decisions are most likely to impact individual employees and/or customers (internal or external)

  • Maintain an event calendar for broker/agents

  • Maintain giving budget and relationships in community

  • Attend outreach events and expos representing Optum Kansas City

  • Schedule and coordinate outreach events for providers

  • Maintain marketing outreach materials

  • Attend broker events with a table to promote Optum Kansas City

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare experience

  • Sales experience

  • Knowledge with Medicare and Insurance Brokers

  • Event Planning
