We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Wichita. In this role you will be responsible for developing, designing, and planning equipment and machine layouts, workflow, and safety precautions to maximize utilization of plant and manufacturing facilities.
+ Coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECO) Change Management with Product Design Engineering and updating work instructions. Support product launches and adjust labor standards to changes
+ Evaluate worker productivity and recommend improvements to increase manpower efficiency and operating performance, reduce waste and delays, and promote cost control/reductions.
+ Develop metrics to measure plant and equipment, capacity output, and identify equipment and process flow bottlenecks.
+ Establish accident prevention measures, and plan training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operation.
+ Ensure compliance with established industry safety and design standards and guidelines.
+ Determine facility specifications, including analysis and evaluation of location, material resources, and structural design.
+ Resolve technical problems and recommends production improvement. Provide floor support, Lead Kaizens, and support continuous improvement projects
+ C arry out other related duties as assigned by management team.
The Qualified Candidate will have:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Discipline.
+ Minimum 3+ years of experience working in an engineering role.
The Preferred Candidate will have:
+ Lean Manufacturing experience (construction equipment or automotive a plus)
+ Working knowledge of Time studies, Proplanner, and/or TeamCenter Vis-Mockup
+ World Class Manufacturing/Lean Manufacturing/continuous improvement experience
+ Strong communication skills with the ability to interface effectively across various groups and levels of management
+ Process-oriented background with ability to understand business strategy
+ Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skill
+ Demonstrated ability to lead small project teams in continuous improvement (up to 10 people)
