CertainTeed Corporation has immediate openings for Maintenance Mechanics at our Kansas City, KS plant.

The starting pay is $30.51/hour and the rotating schedule is as follows:

  • Work Saturday - Friday (7 days) 7:30AM - 3:30PM (1st shift)

  • Off Saturday - Tuesday (4 days)

  • Work Wednesday - Tuesday (7 days) 11:30PM - 7:30AM (3rd shift)

  • Off Wednesday - Thursday (2 days)

  • Work Friday - Thursday (7 days) 3:30PM - 11:30PM (2nd shift)

  • Off Friday (1 day)

  • Repeat schedule

    Qualified applicants will have prior proven ability to:

  • Maintain a safe and clean work area

  • Install calibrate, repair, overhaul, maintain, construct, modify and install equipment and components

  • Maintain, repair, modify building infrastructure

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems (air lines, solenoids)

  • Inspect, diagnose, and implement corrective actions on equipment and building systems

  • Review blueprints/technical drawings, and work orders in order to install, troubleshoot, and repair

  • Perform preventative maintenance

  • Install, adjust, repair, modify machinery, controls, rigging and installation equipment

  • Demonstrate knowledge of applicable ‘code’ requirements as may pertain to equipment / buildings

  • Work independently

  • A written skill/knowledge test is administered prior to employment offers.

  • High School or Technical Diploma

  • 2-4 years' manufacturing experience

  • Experience working ALL SHIFTS

  • Able to work OT as needed
