Kellogg Machinist in Kansas City, Kansas
Do you have the desire to use your niche skills with traditional shop tools to improve production machinery for a company that makes one of your favorite snacks? Join us as a Machinist in our in Kansas City plant where you will use a manual lathe, drill press, and more to make precision parts for a variety of plant equipment to help our operation run as efficiently as possible. This position is an overnight shift: 6pm-6am, and pays $34.57 per hour.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Execute Strategic Repairs: Use a digital milling machine, drill press, and manually operated lathe to repair plant assets and keep us creating the future of food
Create Components: Fabricate components from supplied drawings or failed parts
Perform Corrective Maintenance : Assist with plant repairs on production equipment
Safely Execute – Understanding, following, and enforcing all established safety, health, and quality procedures to drive forward production
Provide Top Notch Customer Service – Establishing rapport with business partners and peers across the plant floor to solve problems with a strong sense of urgency
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
High School Education or GED
Minimum of two years relative experience using a lathe, milling machine, surface grinder and drill press
Basic maintenance and electrical skills including fabrication, equipment fine tuning, pneumatics, lubrication, reading mechanical drawings
