The Learning Analyst is responsible for evaluating learning metrics and coordinating learning technology across multiple platforms. This position requires instructional design experience and a demonstrated knowledge of LMS functionality including but not limited to loading courses, testing, troubleshooting, reporting and data analysis. Must be able to use independent judgment, personal initiative, and resourcefulness with the right level of communication to perform tasks. Must be able to communicate appropriately at all levels including Sr. Leadership, peers, and vendors. Attention to detail and documentation is key.
• Learning platforms:
o Evaluates business requirements related to using and configuring our learning management systems. This requires working with several people inside of the business and communicating with the vendor(s) of the platforms to meet those needs
o Represents our team in a cross-functional team to maintain and improve the digital learning tools that we use to deploy our digital learning
o Ensures all courses are uploaded to include proper categories and tags for optimal reporting, and back-end audit and functionality testing
o Evaluate all the tools we have for delivering different types of learning and devise plan for consolidation and/or movement
• Data Analysis
o Develop a plan for gathering data from all our systems into one place for visualization for the team, management, and stakeholders
o Partner with leadership and learning experience designers to identify metrics that represent the effectiveness of learning programs and create visualization based on those metrics.
o Support needs analysis for training materials through evaluating existing learning assets.
• Day to Day
o Research and experiment new methods, technologies, learning trends and reporting strategies to support the team.
o Create reports and post-implementation evaluations of learning assets.
o Provide and maintain documentation for all digital technology (supporting process guides)
o Ongoing communication with the team, stakeholders, and leadership, projects, and issues.
o Troubleshoot issues related to all digital tools and platforms the team uses to implement learning assets
o Other projects assigned
Advanced knowledge and experience with:
• Learning management systems Saba and Adobe Connect preferred
• e-Learning authoring tools (Storyline 360, Captivate, etc.)
• SCORM protocols, xAPI strongly preferred
• Video and audio files – including platforms for deploying
• Learning experience design
• Use of social, informal, and mobile learning strategies
• Development of blended learning programs and the role digital plays
• Data analysis using Excel and development of learning metric dashboards
• BS in Computer Science, MS Instructional Technology, or related degree with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Relevant, prior experience in supporting learning tools within a highly matrixed, global company is preferred
• Previous development of social, informal, mobile, and blended learning strategies using technology is required
• Knowledge of learning experience design and up to date on digital learning and the role the LMS, xAPI, and learning platforms have in this
• Experience in data visualization and reporting
