The Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Architect sets the overall technology direction for products and disciplines by building and maintaining a future-state blueprint of product architecture, leveraging solutions developed by enterprise teams, and sponsoring innovation. This position collaborates within the Infrastructure teams, Enterprise IT, and the business functions in order to understand business needs and objectives. The IT Infrastructure Architect serves as a key leader in driving the overall success of the infrastructure organization.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business leaders and IT Architect peers to analyze enterprise business strategy and trends including change requirements in other Architect viewpoints, to derive the future-state technology architecture for infrastructure
Design, develop, document, and communicate plans for new and existing solutions for all infrastructure technology, partnering with functional teams to implement comprehensive solutions
Responsible for the design and architecture of the cloud technology stack to drive scalability, automation, reliability, security, and agility for delivery of infrastructure and toolsets to meet client needs
Coach, mentor, and collaborate with advisees, technical subject matter experts, and IT Architect peers to develop infrastructure technology architecture
Lead and participate in the delivery of enterprise processes that support the implementation and operations of architected solutions
Act as a key leader and utilize Agile based methods in the approach to architecture design, implementation, and support
Responsible for the architecture of infrastructure outcomes for security, compliance, and product group requirements in collaboration with infrastructure functional teams
Lead the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and design solutions for improvement
Serve as the subject matter expert for industry and market trends to determine potential impact on the business and technology architecture
Responsible for the engagement, management, and service delivery outcomes for key vendors to achieve agility in meeting business demand
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in computer science or a related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of infrastructure design and implementation or related experience required; experience in software development preferred
Demonstrated ability and working knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack, developing cloud solutions, and/or architecting solutions with third party applications including the ability to develop viable frameworks based upon industry best practices (e.g., Cloud Adoption Framework)
Proficiency with infrastructure as code toolsets and automation (e.g., Terraform, Bicep)
Experience with the lifecycle of the infrastructure stack including end points, network, physical, virtual, public and private cloud, SaaS, IaaS and PaaS
Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues with stakeholders, employees, and leaders at all levels within the firm
Experience with 3rd party solutions including vendor engagement, technical architecture alignment, and change oversight
Familiarity with product management, Agile principles, and development methodologies
Experience coaching and managing a team
Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
