Job Description
Oversee the month-end close process including preparation of financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Manage the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including training, coaching, and disciplining Accounting Department staff.
Protect company assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
Prepare the annual company budget and coordinate this effort with department managers.
Monitor customer receivables and coordinate collection efforts as necessary.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal & tax requirements for conducting business, including the preparation of tax and regulatory filings, and provide supporting documentation for federal and state tax returns.
Prepare financial reporting.
Manage treasury cash management functions and cash flow planning.
Prepare financial analyses and special reports for management.
Work with the Cost Accountant on cost accounting functions, inventory, and product costing.
Maintain the fixed asset management system.
Actively seek and evaluate cost-saving opportunities throughout the Company.
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of accounting experience
Experience managing a team of 5+ employees
Manufacturing experience required
CPA preferred
Bachelors in Accounting required
