Owns the pre-employment process for new hires and facilitates new employee orientation ensuring new hires have a robust onboarding and are immersed in Russell Stover Candies business and culture. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. This role will participate in and/or lead Human Resources related projects associated with implementation of talent initiatives for the organization. Plans and executes company events. Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Recruiting and SourcingCollaborates with Manager, Human Resources and hiring managers to review and understand the functions and qualifications of vacancies.Support and recruit for Manufacturing/Plant roles.Utilize creative means and the latest technologies to research, source, attract, and contact candidates. Source active candidates from on-line databases, contact lists, internal databases, job boards, social media outlets and referrals.Screen candidates for availability, interest level, salary range, relocation needs, qualifications, and cultural fit. Provide timely feedback to candidates.Schedule onsite interviews arrange travel, etc.Russell Stover Chocolates is an EOE/MINORITY/FEMALE/VET/DISABLED/ employerUtilize appropriate systems to track sourcing and pipeline information.Post positions on job boards, and research new media locations to postPartner with hiring managers to support temporary staffing needs.2.Pre-employmentOwn and lead the pre-employment process including assessment, testing, background, drug screen and/or education verification if applicable.3.Orientation and OnboardingOwn and manage the new employee orientation process.Partner with hiring managers to ensure utilization and development of an appropriate and robust onboarding for new hires.4.Event PlanningCollaborate with plant Human Resources Manager to plan formal and informal employee meetings.Plan and execute special events such as service awards luncheon, holiday activities and other milestone employee events.5.Special ProjectsManage projects as assigned6.Represent the company in a professional manner Work to build and maintain good relations with employees at all levels in the organization, including cross-functional departments, and vendor contacts. Attend meetings and seminars to gain knowledge of HR practices and to remain current with labor law/industry changes. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. Special Knowledge and Skills: Strong oral and written skills for upward, lateral, and downward communication. Strong sourcing and interviewing skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to be flexible, reliable, and accurate. Knowledge of HRIS database. Ability to utilize a variety of office equipment (ex: copier and FAX machine). Ability to affect change by looking outside of the box for creative solutions, new processes and rebalancing of priorities. Ability to set priorities and to work independently and effectively while multi-tasking in a team environment with limited resources. Excellent interpersonal Skills. Effective customer service acumen. Ability to work with a wide variety of concepts and procedures. Computer Literacy at an Intermediate Level: M icrosoft Office Suite. Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and with external customers. Ability to recognize confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information and maintain such information as confidential.Education and Work Experience: Required: ?One year work related experience and/or training in the Human Resource field.
