ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCY
POSITION: DEAN FOR CTE AND INDUSTRY PARTNERSHIPS
12 Month Contract Full-time Position
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Dean for CTE and Industry Partnerships provides direction and allocates time to
developing internal and external partnerships, especially those related to innovative
career and education partnerships in our service area and Kansas. The Dean for CTE
and Industry Partnerships facilitates the development, implementation, and assessment
of college and academic policies, practices, and expectations that promote student-
centered approaches to teaching and learning.
The Dean for CTE and Industry Partnerships is responsible for leadership, development,
supervision, and administration of programs and services designed to create and
maintain development of industry partnerships to support student success in clinicals,
practicums, apprenticeships, and job placement. This includes leadership of faculty and
staff for the Associate of Applied Science degrees, career certificates, dual and
concurrent certificate pathways programs, and non-credit personal interest, continuing
education, and business and industry training.
Position Description
QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree required, doctorate preferred. Demonstrated skill in management
and supervision of personnel and resources. Demonstrated ability to work in a
participatory environment. Minimum of two years experience with CTE programs
or Business and Industry partnerships. A basic understanding of CTE legislative
initiatives affecting post-secondary requirements, such as Excel in CTE or Perkins,
is preferred.
LOCATION: Option for remote work within the state of Kansas. Travel to businesses and high
schools within the state of Kansas will be required based on project needs, with
scheduled days on the Iola campus determined in collaboration with the Vice
President for Academic Affairs.
SALARY: \$80,000-\$90,000. An excellent benefits package is available.
STARTING DATE: Position is open until filled.
