Many of our adjunct instructors hold a full-time career elsewhere, and choose to teach in our evening, weekend, and online programs so that they may have the opportunity to teach students.\ \
Independence Community College employs adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate level courses.\ \
Essential Job Duties
Organize and teach on-line classes as assigned.
Deliver quality instruction which prepares students for further education and/or the workplace.
Manage the teaching environment to serve all learners.
Provide regular and timely evaluation feedback to students.
Maintain student attendance records.
Submit mid-term and final grades.
Participate in institutional effectiveness initiatives including assessment and evaluation.
Demonstrate professionalism with faculty, administration, staff and students.
Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
